Federal Bureau of Prisons
Project Description:
This four-level interior build-out included demolition and renovation of 114,000 square feet of office space to serve as the headquarters for the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Washington, D.C. The $8.1 Million project was designed and built-out to LEED Silver specifications and features its own NOC room; a monitoring and screening area; several SCIFF rooms, server rooms, and computer labs; a weapons storage room; training rooms; a library; executive meeting rooms, and hosts over 100 collaborative workspaces. The schedule for the Bureau of Prisons was very intense, and due to GSA bureaucracy, our timeline to achieve substantial completion was reduced to 20 weeks, which was done successfully.
